DTS Electric, Inc. was started by Dave Spain because he was tired of working for contractors who were inefficient and did not care about their customers. Many of the contractors he worked for had the attitude that they were doing the customer a favor when providing them with a service.
Dave had enrolled in the electrical program at Bucks County Technical High School and found that he really enjoyed electrical work and wanted to make that his profession. After he graduated, he continued with his electrical education by serving in a four-year Pennsylvania state-approved electrical apprenticeship.
After years of working for different local contractors and listening to complaints from unhappy customers because of scheduling conflicts, missed commitments and a general lack of caring by the contractors, Dave started to think of how to make the situation better. He could not control the contractors he was working for, and he had little or no say in how they ran their businesses -- even though he was the one in front of the customer listening to complaints.
So he decided to open DTS Electric, Inc. with a focus on customer satisfaction. Our focus is on quality service. It is more than just doing a good job. It is showing up on the day we said we would, and being on time. It's respecting your home and office and cleaning up after ourselves. And it's taking the time to explain the service we provided.
DTS Electric, Inc. has done these things since the business was started, and that is why since joining Angie’s List we have won the Angie’s List Super Service Award two years in a row.
